Valencia, Spain fractal exhibits

Is anyone going to be in Valencia, Spain between now and mid March? The City of the Arts and the Sciences is hosting two fractal exhibits. I'm pleased to say that three of my images are being shown but that aside, there are some truly amazing pieces on display.

The two exhibits are La Mar de Números (The Sea of Numbers) and Las Formas del Universo (Forms of the Universe). These exhibits are pretty interesting because they showcase how fractal art can mimic the wonders of nature under the sea in outer space. Each artwork is shown with a smaller photograph of a similar scene in nature. It's amazing how much some of the artwork resembles the photos. While I can't speak for the other artists, like me, I think they created their artwork without consulting any photos. Finding the photos that looked like my art was fun and amazing when I found those that matched so closely.

A handful of images were chosen for each exhibit from talented artists throughout the fractal art community. I was both surprised and honored to have a few of my works chosen among them. Celestial Awakening and Imagination were chosen for The Forms of the Universe exhibit and Guidance is part of The Sea of Numbers.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it over to Spain but one of the organizers may have pictures of it in the coming weeks and if he'll allow, I'll post them here. If anyone happens to be in Valencia, it would be great if you could stop by and take some photos and share them. I know I'd appreciate it!
