Cærulean, or Long-Tailed Flycatcher
Myïagra longicauda
A rare flycatcher of entirely blue plumage, the upper parts light cerulean blue spreading over the exposed wing and tail feathers, the under parts lighter and tinged with grey becoming almost white on the belly and vent, with blackish covered portions, bill, and feet. The tail is long and graduated with slightly prolonged middle feathers, the mouth bristles two thirds the bill’s length, and it is said to come from New Holland, total length seven inches.
