Brush-Tailed Kangaroo

Macropus penicillatus

A robust kangaroo of very long, rather soft fur, deep vinous or purplish grey with a rusty rump and a pure white chin extending onto the chest, the muzzle and eye region blackish and the feet densely furred. The tail is long, very bushy, and brown black, especially where hairs reach three inches, the head and body about twenty five inches, and this Rock Kangaroo haunts rocky ground on Liverpool Plains, New South Wales.
