Vulpine Phalanger
Phalangista vulpina
A grey phalanger with long pointed ears and a tail rather longer than the body, very bushy at base, the loose, long, woolly fur darkened on back and haunches by long black hairs and bearing a rusty patch on the chest. The under parts are dirty yellowish white, the tail black beyond its furred base and naked beneath toward the apex, the head and body about eighteen inches, and it is found chiefly in New South Wales.
