Black Winged Laughing Gull

Larus melanoccphalus

Closely allied to the preceding gull and a native of the coasts of southern Europe, distinguished by its pale mantle and pure white quills, this species has not yet been discovered in Britain. No further particulars of its size, habits, or fuller plumage were recorded here.
