The male’s head and thorax deep black, highly polished, the head with a long thick toothed horn and the thorax produced into a very long downcurved horn bearing a triangular tooth on each side and clothed with reddish-brown pile. The sea-green elytra are spotted with black, striated and wrinkled across, the under parts and legs black; found most plentifully in the Antilles, Guiana, and Rio Janeiro.
