Cuckoo Falcon

Aviceda cuculoides

A beautiful hook-billed falcon of tropical form, with long buzzard-like wings, a broad even tail, and a compressed bill bearing two teeth near the tip. The dark cinereous upper plumage shades to blackish on the wings, the under parts pass from light ash to cream banded with blackish-brown, and the thighs and tail-covers are deep buff, the whole measuring about sixteen inches with yellow cere and feet.
