Type of 36-line Bible, Mainz

The gothic type was of two sizes: the larger and more pointed being used for head-lines and important words, and a smaller, rounder type for the text. Blanks were left to be fill ed in with names, etc. In the 30-line Letter of Indulgence this larger character appears to be the type used in the 36-line Bible, printed not later than 1461, at Mainz.
