1793

The Neue Deutsche Lettern in this specimen were cut by Unger and his engraver Gubitz, except the Corpus Fractur, which Firmin Didot engraved. Didot’s types may be contrasted with Unger’s modifications of German fraktur, where I think Unger went Didot did one better—or worse!
